The international meeting is usually held between September and October in order to allow as many professionals as possible to take part, as in many areas the season is either coming to an end or already significantly reduced.

This meeting is particularly interesting because, in Georgia, the September–October period offers ideal conditions for working together in especially favorable circumstances. Temperatures are not excessively cold, rivers and streams are generally not too full—something that would otherwise limit activities—and the higher canyons, those in the Greater Caucasus and scheduled for the final three days, are typically in optimal conditions.
