WHY

The International Canyoning Professionals Meeting was created with the aim of bringing together professionals from different backgrounds and giving space to the topics proposed by each individual participant.

It is an open meeting, open to all professional figures from around the world—whether they belong to internationally recognized organizations, emerging professional realities, or contexts that are not yet internationally recognized. Why? Because in a river, as professionals, we are all equal.

We come from different countries and cultures, but once inside the canyon, we face the same dynamics, the same challenges, and the same concerns. We all carry responsibility for the people we guide or teach in the canyon environment.

For this reason, the international meeting represents a fundamental opportunity to bring shared topics, solutions, and everyday challenges to the attention of everyone. Whether you come from New Zealand, Australia, Europe, Japan, the United States, or any other part of the world, the issues we experience in canyons are essentially the same.

Having a common reference point—a space for dialogue and exchange—is therefore essential. This is why the international meeting was created, and why so many professionals have already taken part in past editions.

We invite you to join the next edition, which will take place in Georgia, and to become part of a group of professionals willing to meet colleagues from all over the world, discover the potential of an extraordinary country like Georgia, and share days of work and discussion together.

Above all, this meeting is about dialogue on topics that truly matter: professional recognition in different countries, shared or comparable standards, and positive, constructive references that can support the development of our profession worldwide.

We invite you to take part in this meeting, to prepare your own presentation, and to bring your motivations and experiences to the assembly. Everyone will be ready to listen, to take note of what you share, and to contribute to making this meeting even more constructive.
